World Food Day is October 16. Join us the Friday before (October 14th) to celebrate with a potluck, presentations, and discussion groups lead by local groups working on local food security as well as food sovereignty around the world.

The evening will also feature Chef Mariana Brito who will share about her internship at Relae Restaurant in Denmark, a leader in food sustainability. Chef Brito will also bring dessert that will highlight the diversity of lentils as we honour International Year of Pulses 2016.

Draft Program

5.30 – Doors Open
6.00 – Potluck (bring a dish to share)
6.30 – Chef Mariana’s talk + dessert
7.00 – Discussion groups:

  • Engineers Without Borders (EWB) – Food Systems and Poverty
